Another Story
This is not the film history you know. This year’s special section features films from the ANOTHER STORY catalogue—a project that rediscovers the history of documentary cinema from a female perspective. We have selected films that defy easy categorization: they are bold, funny, surprising, and uncompromising. Created at various points in the history of European cinema, they still have much to say about how we live—at home, in society, and in a world full of absurdities. Taken together, they demonstrate that a documentary can be more than just a record of reality; it can be a form of play, an experiment, and a way to challenge the status quo. ANOTHER STORY is an opportunity to discover films that may have slipped through the cracks of cinema history but are long overdue for their rightful place.
