HER Development

HER Development is a unique workshop program for women directors working on their first or second documentary film – medium or feature-length. Conducted in an intimate group of women creators and experts, it promotes openness, free exchange of experiences and in-depth analysis of the creative process.

Participants, selected through an open call, gain space to develop their projects, discuss artistic and production challenges and acquire valuable knowledge about marketing and presence on the film market.

The workshops are led by recognized and experienced experts from the world of documentary film. 

Previous editions of the workshops have been led by, among others:

• Joanna Solecka – film marketing expert,
• Anna Wydra – film producer,
• Agnieszka Zwiefka – documentary director,
• Zeynep Güzel – film consultant, head of Doc Station of the Berlinale Talents program.

We will soon announce the open call for the 4th edition of the HER Development, which will take place in September 2025. Applications are accepted via the application form. Participation in the event is free of charge, but the number of places is limited.
