An experimental 8mm film. This fictionalized narrative, rooted in the personal experience of partial hearing loss, explores the relationship between silence and sound, exposing the oppression of normative hearing and seeking a language beyond the phonocentric order. The work is an introduction to a larger project on audism and sound democracy. Inspired by Sara Ahmed’s concept of the “feminist ear” – listening as an act of resistance against violence and exclusion. The film was created during an artistic residency at ArtInkubator Goyki3 in Sopot.

Dear Leo Sokolosky is an animated documentary following a young girl’s journey to Ansbach, the town where her great-grandfather was sent to a work camp during World War II. Through poetic narration, she writes a letter that intertwines past and present, memory and oblivion. Leo Sokolosky, a ghostly figure from her great-grandfather’s past, becomes a bridge between worlds, guiding her through reflections on history, ideals, and the longing for those no longer here.

    reż. Zofia Kańska
    Poland / 2024-2025 / 13 min

The story unfolds in a pastel-colored world, where two rows of identical houses are separated by a street that ends with a massive high-voltage power pole. A family is preparing to celebrate their daughter’s birthday together. The town appears deserted, and the characters are devoid of faces and distinct emotions. The film explores communication—the kind that goes beyond words. In her search for belonging, the main character immerses herself in online forums hidden in the corners of the internet.

    reż. Marta Ojrzyńska
    Poland / 2025 / 18 min

After breaking up with her partner, a mother takes her eight-year-old son on a camper trip. Now these two will be able to start their lives just together. In a patriarchal society, it’s generally the father who takes his son camping or fishing, or the whole family goes on a seaside vacation. It’s very rare for a mother to go on an expedition with her son. The journey is accompanied by very insightful and moving conversations between mother and son and painted landscapes. The roles of mother and son are reversed during this short expedition. It is a road movie that becomes a metaphor for the life of a mother and her child. The story of a beautiful and unique love.
