Accessibility
HER Docs barrier-free
Culture should be accessible to everyone, which is why we make every effort to ensure that the widest possible audience can participate in HER Docs events.
HER Docs events take place in spaces architecturally adapted to the needs of persons with a mobility disability.
All film screenings have Polish and English subtitles, while selected films in the program also have Polish audio description.
Assistance
We also offer assistance for persons with a vision disability. An assistant is assigned individually to a specific person participating in HER Docs events who reports such a need. The assistant can help you get to the cinema, and after the screening, take you to the agreed place. Persons who want to use the support of an assistant are asked to contact us by e-mail at info@herdocs.pl. In the message, please enter: the date and title of the screening and your phone number. The request should be sent no later than 24 hours before the screening.
Accessible Cinema
Polish-speaking persons with a hearing disability can use audio description via the “Kino Dostępne” (“Accessible Cinema”) application, which allows you to listen to audio description for free in the cinema hall from your personal smartphone.
In order to use this option, you must install the “Kino Dostępne” application on your phone – the applications can be downloaded for free from Google Play and AppStore. When the film starts, you must start playing audio description on your phone. Headphones are required – please bring them to the screening. A short film illustrating how the application works can be found on the website:
